Friday was a great day for me. I was able to close my first listing, a Westfield homes for sale. That doesn't mean I haven't had many other closings throughout the year. Actually it's been a fabulous year for Indianapolis Real Estate. So, when I say that I closed my first listing, I mean that we've closed on the first listing I received as a new REALTOR. I'm not bragging mind you, since I have had this listing since June 2008. But considering it was an estate, needed some updating, and was an old farmhouse on an acre, it was a challenging project. It was the best lesson I could have learned during my first real year as a Indianapolis REALTOR. It taught me how important it is to have listings based on the amount of sign calls that I received. I also found out how emotionally charged selling homes can be surrounding a family homestead. But, it's closed, I stuck with it, gave it everything I had, and lo and behold we closed! Success!
