THE BIGGEST FISH HE EVER CAUGHT WERE THOSE THAT GOT AWAY ~Eugene Field

Whether you are selling your Geist waterfront home, connecting with your friends, engaging in community service, or researching your family tree, one question remains: How will others find what I have to say?
Approaching the same topic from another perspective, buyers initiating their home search from the social web, may ask: How can I find what I'm looking for? Will they find your waterfront home on Geist reservoir or your new custom Carmel home near the Monon?
During several speaking engagements in the past year about social media marketing, one common theme arose from participants at each event: What is SEO? They may not ask the question, directly, but their questions (or answer to their questions) point to the very topic which serves as an essential foundation to broadening & deepening one’s voice on today’s social web. And, these advanced on-line marketing skills are vital to you in selling your home in today’s market.
HEY WORLD! THEY’RE BITING OVER HERE!
Pretend for a minute we are fishing at Geist Reservoir or Morse Lake near Indianapolis, Indiana. We stand on the dock or row out into the center of the lake with our fishing buddies. Then each drops their line into the lake. One friend’s fishing line has no hook, the other friend’s pole has a hook with a plastic worm. But, you have cast your line to the optimum spot and the bobber is set for the hook to reach the very heart of a school of fish. Add to the optimum depth & lake location, a hook with the juiciest worm and strongest line. It was a fight to the end, but you nabbed the largest fish in the shortest amount of time.

You may ask: Is it possible to sell my home in today’s market and glean multiple offers? Yes.
Is it possible to sell my home in a matter of days? Sure. Does this happen by accident? Rarely.
Extraordinary results are due to advanced marketing skills relevant to today’s buyer.
How does SEO matter when all you want is to 'Get It Sold'?
Interestingly, the social web is changing how people search. Respected marketing expert and author Bernie Borges from the Tampa Bay area shares in his popular blog & podcasts, SEO has become SO. I have experienced this first hand. Buyers no longer limit their on-line searches to popular real estate web sites or Google. I have had buyers find me through their trusted on-line communities like Linked-IN, Facebook, and Twitter. SEO is an acronym, which means: Search Engine Optimization. As an early proponent of digital media, I continually look for emerging technologies and principles which give my clients the best advantage in our challenging market. Advanced marketing skills make it possible for us to leverage Google & Bing maps for your property to be found near the top of organic search results.
Just as the juiciest worm, best hook, strongest line at the right depth fetches the largest fish, so too, powerful digital ‘bait’ serves to attract & hook the web crawlers for buyers to find your Indianapolis home for sale as their next dream home.
THE CHARM OF FISHING IS THAT IT IS THE PURSUIT OF WHAT IS ELUSIVE BUT ATTAINABLE, A PERPETUAL SERIES OF OCCASIONS FOR HOPE. ~ John Buchan

But don't forget about Westfield. There are many fantastic Westfield homes for sale and they are usually more affordable than either Carmel or Fishers. The schools in Westfield are very good too and the city is doing a wonderful job of adding businesses, park areas and other things that make it a nice place to call home.
I Consider myself fortunate to be selling homes in Hamilton County Indiana. Hamilton County was named this year, by Forbes Magazine, as the best county in the United States to raise a family. As they stated in the article "Hamilton County has eight quaint communities, terrific school systems, a short commute and low crime. The average home price of $200,000 is a steal compared with Marin County California's $901,900".
I had an interesting experience this week. A former client referred me to a friend that is looking for Hamilton County Indiana Homes. When I contacted this individual they told me that they did in deed want to look for Carmel or Fishers Real Estate but that they have a friend, who is a new Realtor, in an area 100+ miles North of Indianapolis that has offered to help them. This got me to thinking about the old saying that all Real Estate is local and the importance of working with a Realtor that knows the local market.
