Broad Ripple Village What's all the fuss about Broad Ripple? Why is it so important for some people to just search for Broad Ripple Homes For Sale. We get calls regularly from buyers saying they are only interested in living in Broad Ripple. So, we decided to ask some of our past customers, "Why?".

"I definitely wanted to live in Broad Ripple because of the energy there. There's always something going on, and I can walk to most everything I need" ~Jamison

"When I first started my home search I was looking for Downtown Indianapolis Real Estate, but the more I searched I realized that Broad Ripple was exactly what I was truly looking for. The commute to my job is easy, plus I get all the benefits of a great night life in the heart of Broad Ripple". ~E. Mathison

"The home prices in Broad Ripple are affordable. There seems to be a price category for all home shoppers, both high and low" ~K. Crawford

So, after hearing about some of the "awesomeness" I thought it would be a great idea to show you a few great finds in Broad Ripple.

Broad Ripple is located in North section of Indianapolis in Marion County and has many Indianapolis Properties. It is a very popular place to live and play. The Village is the Center of it all featuring a strip of Bars and Restaurants making it a great night life scene. There are many bars, which we locals call the "Broad Ripple Strip" or "Ripple". Dining includes Mexican, Steak Houses, Pubs, Fast Food, BBQ, and Seafood. For the outdoor enthusiasts there is a very popular walking trail called the Monon Trail that runs right the the heart. It is a paved trail that goes from Downtown Indianapolis up through the Northern Suburbs of Indianapolis, Carmel and Westfield.

Broad Ripple Real Estate offers many Indianapolis Indiana Homes. The heart of the Real Estate exists closet to the action. Many of the home are 1-2 story bungalows ranging from 100k-200+k. Many have basements and the homes are older with a lot of character. Some of the most popular homes have been completely remodeled with new granite kitchens, stainless appliances, new baths, new or refinished hardwood floors, and new exteriors. We also represent several investors who buy the homes in foreclosure and rehab them and sell "flip" them for a profit.

Indianapolis Real Estate For Sale is our speciality and we help many people buy and sell homes in the area. If you would like to know more about the area, need help finding a home, want to know more about investing in this area, or would like to find out what your  home is worth now feel free to call me, Andrew Neal, Realtor with CENTURY 21 Scheetz The Andrew Neal Group, anytime at 317-513-7695 or visit www.DealwithNeal.com.

Young Professionals - Relocate to Indiana

Thursday, December 11, 2008 by Susan VanHoosen

A client called me last week to discuss an interesting challenge that came up during a post-interview with a candidate. After the candidate declined the job offer, the Recruiter asked why, as he was a great fit for the company and they thought the interviews had gone well. The young candidate said, "well, all I see around here are older people!". Slightly puzzled, my client asked if I could help in showing "younger candidates" that in addition to a great place to raise a family, that Indianapolis offers a lot for the young professional.

I find it amuzing that with the economic conditions and job losses we read about on a daily basis, a Generation Y candidate is declining jobs in Indianapolis. Indy Downtown and the Broad Ripple Village are just two examples of what the area offers young professionals.

Since our conversation last week, I have met with my client and developed a recruiting plan to help attract and retain younger workers when they relocate to Indiana.. A few helpful websites I shared and that I encourage anyone to check out and connect to the local community are:

What is in store for Real Esate in Indanapolis 2009

Thursday, December 11, 2008 by Creamer-Elson Team

Home values in Indiana will increase in 2009. Home prices in Indiana may have presure from the national ecomony, however homes for sale in Indanapolis will still have good demand which should help real estate values in Indianapolis.

Downtown Indianapolis Real Esate will have it's ups and downs.  The condo market will make a slow recovery and the homes for sale downtown Indianapolis should see a lot of activity.

Homes for sale in Broad Ripple will continue to be a favorite of first time home buyers. One of the few markets that has remained somewhat strong through the down turn. Home values in Broad Ripple will be increasing as interest rates continue to drop.

Historic homes for sale in Indianapolis will also show strong value.  Meridian Kessler, one of the more popular historic neighborhoods will continue to have strong demand which should keep values strong.

For you frist home, next home or your dream home call John Creamer at (317)250-5646 or e-mail jcreamer@c21scheetz.com for over 20 years of experience as a Indianapolis Realtor.

Buying a duplex for your first home

Thursday, December 11, 2008 by Creamer-Elson Team

Indianapolis DuplexIf you are interested in buying your first home, downtown Indianapolis real estate, or Homes in Broad Ripple, maybe you should consider buying a duplex or as we call them in the Indianapolis Real Estate market 'doubles'.  Buying a double and living in one side while renting out the other has some great advantages.

3 Specific Advantages:

  • First, you will be able to use the rental income to help qualify for the mortgage. This enables you to purchase more, while it cost you less per month. As Home values in Indanapolis increase, you will double your return.
  • Secondly, Indianapolis has many quality built doubles that are as nice or nicer than a lot of homes for sale in Indianapolis.
  • Third, When you live on one side you will have better or great tenants as neighbors. It's hard to be late with your rent when you neighbor owns the home. You will also find the home is very well cared for.

John Creamer has owned doubles in Indianapolis since 1986. Interested in Broad Ripple homes, downtown real estate, or historic homes or if you are interested in purchasing a double call John at (317)250-5646 OR jcreamer@c21scheetz.com.

Indianapolis Hosts the International Festival!

Tuesday, November 25, 2008 by Laura Heigl
Indianapolis International FestivalOne of the great things about living in Indianapolis is there is always something to do here!  Last weekend, the city hosted the International Festival at the state fairgrounds.  I had been visitng some Broad Ripple homes for sale and it was a quick trip down the road to see what was going on there.  Honestly, only a few minutes from the downtown Indianapolis homes as well.  My seven year old daughter Mari is a flamenco dancer...and studies with Erica Dominguez, a Venezuelan professional flamenco dancer.  We enjoyed not only flamenco dancing but Greek food, Hungarian chimney bread, Japanese dancers.  Native American beading from the Crow tribe and dozens of other booths with tasty treats and interesting things to buy or discover.  We talked with the representatives from Youth For Understanding, a foreign exchange student program about studies abroad, international students in our city and admired henna tattoos.  In the midst of all the goings on was a huge jumping contraption...very fun!   Indianapolis International Festival The picture here is my daughter AnnCatherine sailing through the air at the International Festival.
It is awfully easy to get around in Indianapolis.  Relocation buyers are  often amazed at how easy the commute is here so no worries if you are looking at Carmel homes for sale, Geist homes, or downtown Indianapolis homes, you'll surely find it easy to get around to do all sorts of interesting things!

Enjoy your Thanksgiving weekend, there is a lot to be thankful for as an Indianapolis resident!
